Terms and Conditions for Private Persons Reservations, Bookings and Deposits for Activities These terms and conditions apply to reservations by companies not approved for credit and private persons with Lapland Sweden Holiday and Travel HB who also trade as Luleå Guided Tours (later called LSHT), whose registered office is at Förmansvägen 10 Luleå Sweden and relate to booking via any sales agent, online via the web site and/or any other method of booking or making reservations such as telephone or email.
Any reservation (also known as a preliminary booking) placed by a client whether through a sales agent, the company's website, email or otherwise, is an offer to purchase the relevant package or other holiday arrangement subject to Sweden’s General Terms and Conditions and these Special Booking Terms and Conditions.
Clients who book direct with LSHT shall pay the full payment for the tour, activity or package at least 30 days prior to the tour.
Following reservation LSHT will subsequently issue a confirmation to the client or sales agent via email and this should be checked in detail immediately to ensure that all aspects of the confirmation agree with the clients requests.
If a client makes the booking less than 30 days prior to the tour they should credit the full payment to our bank account within 4 days of receiving the invoice. Cancellation Cancellations must be made to LGT by telephone call as soon as possible and then followed up with an email confining the cancellation.
Cancellations outside 30 days – no charge Cancellations outside 14 days – 50% Cancellations outside 7 days – 75% Cancellations within 7 days – 100% No-shows will result in 100% cancellation charge Note there are no refunds if a client is late to an activity departure. We will however re-book them onto a subsequent days departure if there is availability.
LSHT packages, tours and services begin in Luleå and all international and domestic travel to these destinations is the customers responsibility. As such, any cancellations or amendments subject to conditions of the carrier you have chosen. We strongly recommend that all our customers to take out comprehensive travel insurance to avoid disputes on cancellation.
Price Validity LSHT reserves the right to change the cost of a tour as shown in any web site or brochure between a request for booking and the issuance of the booking confirmation. This can happen if there have been changes in exchange rates, taxes, transportation costs or other fees, and these changes will be notified to the customer as soon as they become known.
Liability and Risk It is incumbent on all clients to be aware that Luleå is a northern wilderness area and that there exists risks and hazards by the vary nature of its environment and the activities that may be undertaken by clients. Clients should take particular note of their own limitations and physical fitness before booking or undertaking any activities offered in our tours or packages and if necessary seek their own independent medical advice. LSHT disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or any other event beyond LSHT's control.
As a tour operator LSHT acts in good faith, and cannot be held responsible for any other agent, accommodation house, bus operator, airline, guide, restaurant or any other person's or companies' acts, defaults or delays. LSHT also disclaims responsibility for any schedule change due to weather, strike or any other cause beyond LSHT's control. LSHT reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. We recommend all clients to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
Force Majeure Force Majeure means unusual, unforeseeable and unavoidable events beyond LSHT's control, which is an obstacle to the trip can not be completed. Events that organizers could not reasonably have foreseen when the contract was concluded and whose consequences he could not reasonably could have avoided or overcome. Including but not limited to war, threat of war, riots, civil disobedience or strike, governmental action, terrorism, natural or industrial disaster, fire, severe or unexpected weather conditions, water levels in rivers or floods, closure of airports and can also include industrial dispute involving third parties, technical problems or maintenance problems or unforeseen operational decisions by airlines such as changes in schedules or interruption of the IT infrastructure (including but not limited to our website). Under these conditions, LSHT is free of liability for damages or other penalties. We recommend all clients to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
Complaints Complaints are welcome so we are able to rectify immediately any problems the client may incur and they must be given to LGT management by telephone or email as soon as possible after the problem occurs.
